The Ghost Writer:
This was underwhelming to the max. It's a good thing both Ewan McGregor and Pierce Brosnan are easy on the eyes or I really would have felt like I wasted two hours of my life. Nice to see Kim Catrall in something other than Sex and the City though!
Lucky Louie:
I did not expect to fall madly in love with this show. It crosses the line SO MANY TIMES! But I've never seen a more accurate portrayal of what it is like to live in the lower middle-class! So funny at times I thought I would actually pee my pants. Sadly, it was cancelled after only one season. This will be going in my MUST WATCH EVERY SINGLE TIME I GET DEPRESSED file! I love it, despite the non-stop f-bombs.
The Wii:
I got to borrow this machine when my sister was home for Thanksgiving weekend!!! It was soooo much fun. I'm absolutely addicted to playing tennis on it. I don't know what is so captivating about tennis, but I love it so much!!! Mario Kart is also ridiculously fun. I'm not sure if I should invest in a console, as there aren't that many brilliant games for it - but definitely something that crosses my mind frequently! Does anyone use their Wii Fit?? Do you like it??
What have you been watching/reading/listening/etc...this week???
Advice much loved by a girl who is nearly entirely housebound!!
xoxo,
Annie

Watched Secretariat this weekend, good movie. Yesterday I watched "The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler" a true story of a social worker who rescued 2,500 Jewish children during WWII in Warsaw, Poland - very moving.
I watched the movie TiMER on Netflix with Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Emma Caulfield (she played Anya in the show) which was a really interesting little romance with a bit of a science fiction twist. I have been playing Plants Vs. Zombies on my computer. It's a fun little popcap game where you defend your house from the oncoming undead by planting flowers who attack the zombies. It's very silly and cute. I've been listening to/watching the video for "Remains", a song from the short lived Joss Whedon show Dollhouse that is just beautiful, and listening to Mumford & Sons, a folk rock band out of England. With a mandolin!
I'm in the middle of season 3 of Eureka. Love it!
Just found The Dresden Files. I like the first episode so I will be watching more of it. It is darker than Eureka but the one I saw had a decent weird plot, cool characters and some decent acting. I'm hopefull.
I finished the Hunter Games series. Well written, good plot, characters etc. VERY depressing. Basically all the characters get very psychologically damaged by what happens to them. Lots of PTSD. Ick!
Starting to read The Host by Stephanie Myers of Twilight fame. So far so good. I love her writing anyway.
I can't watch anything yet because I don't have a tv. BUT, I'm glad you're watching plenty for both of us! LOL
