Love Me Fridays

  • Finally getting some zzz's.  Sleep is so important and I need to get more of it.
  • New candle holders thanks to Jon's mom!
  • Having a truce in the relationship to blow up at each other less.
  • New York Fashion Week!!
  • Painting - I need new canvases!
  • Putting on makeup, even if I'm not leaving the house.
  • First I thought Twitter was the most addictive thing possible.  Now I'm pretty sure the award goes to Tumblr.
  • Dreaming about planting a flower garden :).
  • Modern Family.
  • Gluten-free poutine.

I obviously need to do more arts and crafts.  They just make me so happy :).

What are the little things making life more bearable (even enjoyable!) this week??  Share your gratefulness here :).

It helps me to read great blogs like yours, Annie. I do try to count my blessings, because I know that physically and financially, I could be so much worse off. At present, I'm dealing w/ the death of my sister 3 wks. ago and as depression starts rearing itss ugly head much worse than it has in yrs. I'm so thankful for the support of others, in person, on the phone and online. My relationship w/ God helps me try to stay positive too and receive comfort.

Good things?
my best friend is coming to visit tonight!!
My doctor has a new idea for my muscle spasm treatment (or at least a new dosing plan)
I think my mother is getting me a new mattress pad so my bed doesn't hurt so much (college mattresses are not at all nice).

Anon - I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine losing my brother.

One of my loveliest friends died a week ago today. He was in a terrible accident, completely out of the blue. I think that I'm still in shock but I'm also trying to count my blessings (I was so lucky to have been his friend) and am finding consolation by reading blogs. I think that hearing other voices and reading about other lives is helping to keep me steady. It's so hard though. I know that I need to 'manage' my emotions so that I avoid an even worse flare (I have ME).

My heart goes out to you. Take good care of yourself (I'm glad that you are being looked after).

Georgina xx

DH has been able to tell I've been miserable for months because I haven't put on makeup. I do polish my nails but only because that's the only way I've pound to stop them tearing so far back it hurts.

I love the concept of Poutine but I haven't had much luck making it at home. I really need to try again.

For me I've been cheered up by
New space heater for the bathroom
Bejeweled 3
A new 10 oz sippy cup so i can stop getting the bed wet with my clumsiness :)
'borrowing' DH's flannel shirt
Cadbury's Mini Eggs
Max Freeze
& my Glide Point Wand
