Pushing My Limits...For Fun, No Less

Ugh.

Why must I always push my limits?

I even know for the most part where my limits are.  I've been at this for awhile, and I thought I was getting pretty good at it.

I thought wrong (haha, as per usual).

Scene: My boyfriend's birthday party.

Situation: Felt an onset of crippling fatigue after a week of reasonably decent health.

Solution: Decided to try and drink my problems away, assuming the one of few occasions a year when I consume alcohol would break me out of my rut.

Ending: Not pretty.

Now I will proceed to lay entirely still for most of the weekend as the muscle weakness in my legs is super high.

I am so S-M-R-T.

xoxo,
Annie

gentle hugs!
remember to let it go. We all push past our limits, we all ignore our bodies from time to time. while hopefully the consequences will help us be better about it in the future, kicking yourself now is only going to make you feel worse. try to see your body as an entity outside of you, and you will feel great love, concern, and compassion towards it. even when I'm really sick, I feel so much better when I show myself love and compassion then when I tell my body that I hate being trapped in it!
I hope you flair up isn't too long!

Oh Boy, I hate when that happens. Ya thin you can push yourself and you fall flat on your face.

I do the same thing....I call it my "lack of learning curve". I think we do it because we want to be optimistic. Sometimes we don't want to live in a box and we saw "screw it" to the consequences and have a good time. It's only when it's payback that the regret might set in. I hope you had fun anyways....

I'm with Lee Lee -- at least you were doing something that was fun. Being sick takes so much discipline -- I just can't always pull it off. Hope your recovery doesn't take too long, Annie.
