Pop Culture Wednesday

I have participated in absolutely NO pop culture this week.

Not watching tv, not listening to music, and not watching movies.
It doesn't help that my computer is deciding to work only every other hour of the day.  I almost have enough money to buy another one, but it seems like so much money.

On the plus side, I actually had a wonderful day yesterday, minus some killer pain and a panic attack.  We made the most delicious butternut squash, bacon, and potato soup with swiss cheese melted on top.  Best thing I have eaten in awhile :).

Anyway, hopefully this computer doesn't interfere with regular blog scheduling any more - the boyfriend has a new laptop on the way, so at least I will be able to access the Internet in some shape or form.

This is where you guys cover me and fill me in with all the goodies that have been floating around this week!  Love you all!

xoxo,
Annie

I saw Men Who Stare at Goats the other week and loved it. It is scary what the military gets into.

For me this week has been a blast from the past. I discoverd an old 80's PBS miniseries called Poldark on Netflix. I remember seeing a few episodes back in high school and had lots of fun watching the whole thing. It was very popular back then and fairly dated now.

I also discovered Torchwood on Netflix. It is the British version of Xflies. Lots of fun. I also like seeing the differences in US and British cultural norms. For instance women police officers still get coffee for their male counterparts. That would go over like a ton of bricks here.

Finished up Farscape season 3 on streaming video and ordered season 4 on DVD.

I also watched Must Love Dogs another oldie but goodie.

My world is full of toddlers wanting kisses, food, hugs, outside, and rocked to sleep.

No time for self-reflection even!

Mmmm...your soup sounds wonderful (except that it was 96 here today).

I posted our movies on my Movie Monday blog post - our movie watching will be seriously curtailed on weeknights now that the kids have gone back to school - homework and soccer (and this week, filling out endless forms) are filling our evenings. sigh...

Sorry to hear about your computer problems. I can relate. My husband got me a new laptop and a week later (BEFORE I transferred all my files) my old one literally burned out. I was able to save the hard drive, but it's still been a lot of work. Hope things go more smoothly for you.
