I feel like I will never catch a break at this rate. Also, I managed to break yet another bathtub plug. I must have like a special gift for that. Out of all the special gifts I could have been given, it wouldn't have been my first choice, but hey, whatever works right?
I'm thinking of never leaving the house again at this point, but I have a doctor's appointment later and my mother and boyfriend are likely going to drag me kicking and screaming no matter what I do.
Blah.
Let's play pretend. Can I be a pretty flower child please??

I refuse to be miserable about this.
Going to day-dream land (since I can't get to real dream land!)
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!!
xoxo,
Annie

Darling,
I'm so sorry to hear you had a bad night. Let's be flower children together! Don't become a hermit (I know it is tempting to not leave the house when the pain is bad) but the good things in life are outside your front door (Do you know Avenue Q and specifically "There is life outside your apartment"? It might be worth downloading. It always puts me in a good mood).
What about sunshine? Are you getting enough of it. Does it help your symptoms?
Also, I don't think I mentioned this before, but if you ever need a change of scenery, you are more than welcome to come stay with me in Toronto for a few days. I get a lot of couch surfers, but I wouldn't mind camping out there if you would sleep better in a real bed. Sometimes a change of scenery is all you need - and if you could get an appointment with a specialist at Toronto General or something you would have a reason for your trip. Just food for thought.
Hope you have a better day today. Consider yourself hugged!

I'm so sorry Annie. You must be utterly exhausted and frustrated on top of it. I don't know how hard it is for you to travel, but Kendall's suggestion may be a good one. You could do research ahead of time (I could help with that -- I've got those Google skills down) and find the right specialist to see in Toronto (I don't know how the Canadian system works now but when I lived there, you could go to any doctor you wanted).
Hang in there. I'm so glad you have your mother and your boyfriend to help.
Great set of pictures. I had a roommate who's room looked just like the third picture!
I had a very dear roommate who would sometimes get so overwhelmed and unhappy with life. One day, she was just lying on her bed, eyes closed. She said, "I wish I were a flower." Your post reminded me of her. It would be nice to just exist, beautifully, for awhile, wouldn't it?
Thank you everyone!
Kendall, you are such a sweetheart. If I thought I could get a referral and actually see someone up there I would possibly take you up on that.
I would love to just exist and have it not be a struggle. I know everyone has their struggles but it's getting a little ridiculous.
Annie....poor Annie. I'm so sorry you had such a bad night. When everyday is a challenge and you never know what to expect is crap. I wish we all could all go back in time and be flower children together. We all could play guitars, make love beads and drink watermelon wine. I think we would have a lovely time.

I totally agree with Toni's sentiments. Sometimes a new view helps us realign our perspective.
I can so see you as a flower child! Definitely!
You know even though I am of the age to have lived through the flower child era, I have no experience with it. I lived in France at the time so I can't relate to that era very well.
Annie, I so hope you get some rest and start feeling better. Hang in there.
Sending you lots of hugs!

I'm glad you have people to encourage you and drag you out there into the world when you need it! I hope you'll feel better soon 'hon!
PS: I wanna be a flower child too! I would definitely pick the mid 60's as the time I'd go back to in my late teens!
