Love Me Fridays

  • Cleaning to music.  In fact, doing anything to music.  I don't care, I just want music on!
  • My boyfriend has been wonderful to me since our little moment of instability.
  • Air conditioning...I feel like I'm going to keel over and die in this fact, I did keel over haha.
  • Tweetdeck on my computer now.  I get excited any time a message pops up!
  • My online besties. They know who they are and they know I love them to pieces.
  • The fact that today I feel like my body/mind is about 20% less spastic...the med reduction is totally slowly working (probably from the mass clonazepam...)
  • Being able to feel strength in my legs for the first time all week! Wooo, I missed walking!
Ack, I'm having difficulty with this because this week has really just been absolutely miserable. Okay, regroup.
  • The fact that I got to get to know my friend and her daughter better by staying at her house all weekend.
  • The Internet for running some distraction.
  • It briefly cooled down on this Island. Thank God.
  • I can't wait to see Inception and Salt!

I'm having a really hard week my loves! Tell me what you are grateful for this week!

I'm grateful for:

-the huge amount of fleece I bought tonight.

-that my allergic reaction to that antibiotic is over and it didn't kill me.

-that today Alex is either outside or in my arms.

-that I amused the lady cutting my fleece today by telling her how Alex helps me make blankets.

-I cleared out the shelf of Cheesey Ramen at the grocery store.

-That my brother texted me late last night to make sure I was okay.

-That I amazed my other brother when I told him I was fabric shopping and he goes "you're off the couch?"

I'm grateful for all the friends I have who live in the Interwebs (I count you among them)!!!

I'm grateful for my family - who have come through for me!

I'm grateful I've been given 12 beautiful years in Atlanta.

I'm grateful for my beautiful furbabies.

I'm grateful for the medical care I've had lately.

I'm grateful for a sense of calm that washed over me today after my massage.

One day at a time, one hour at a time, one minute at a time if that is what it takes.

And sometimes - that is what it has taken me. Love you sweetie. HUGS.

Well, today was so hot that the dog didn't want to go outside to pee.

Joe-Man and me went to see my Mom at her rehab place and the A/C was on kill!!! Nice and chilly.

The weatherman said the heat index will be 105 tomorrow. I AM

My Mom sat in her wheelchair for 2 hours today...she calls the room they take her for therapy "the clown house" She said there are balloons and streamers all over and everyone is just a little too cheerful...she hasn't lost her sense of humor.

I'm grateful for peace & quiet. I'm grateful that my dog is healthy, that we like her new vet, & that when my dad accidentally let her out of the house today my mom was right there to get her- because losing her is one of my greatest fears. I'm grateful I was able to get it together enough today to realize many things, among them how badly the new med is affecting me. I'm glad I was able to make some hard decisions, because just with the act of deciding it feels like some weight has been lifted even if the implementation will not be easy.
I'm grateful for peeps like you who make me realize the importance of stopping and making lists like this- not by being trite & preachy & glib & saying "aw, look on the bright side!" but by crying & spilling & NOT hiding the pain, and THEN going and making a list of the good things anyway- because then it means so much more. Big hugs. <3
