Medical Pondering...

Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.  ~World Health Organization, 1948

Why has our health system drifted so far away from this original statement??

Is it money?
Time?
Overpopulation issues?
Increasing illness?

Thoughts??

Money. 100% human greed.

Cannot really comment on your health system, but I would say it's a mixture of money and greed.

I know I am very, very fortunate and lucky to live in the UK. I really hope your health system improves!

If I had to pick one it would be money/greed. That may be over-simplifying...I think after a while small changes in the way things are done add up to big deviations over time. Unfortunately (or fortunately) nobody will ever live long enough to have the original perspective to hold change up against. We end up only looking forward and, in no time at all, the original intention is lost.

I think this is the high price we pay for innovation and technilogical advancement.

money/greed
lack of understanding
inability to measure things that we havent figured out how to measure/cant really be measured
people wanting quick fixes
