Love Me Fridays

Another week has come to an end.

I'm starting to not be able to tell them apart as nothing changes.  Nerve pain is radiating up my back and down my legs.  I am only up for a few hours on end.  But nevertheless, there are people far worse off than me.  So let's get down to being thankful.

  • Movies for filling in my lack of a social life.  In the last couple of days I have watched:

  • I have to give a super big recommendation for Up in the Air, as it touched my heart in a way no movie has in a long, long time.
  • Pretty blankets.  I have a homemade quilt and knitted blanket surrounding me, and it's oh so nice.
  • The new issue of Glamour with Victoria Beckham.  I love her.  And spring clothes [I'm so sad that Alexander McQueen died :(].
  • Pastel purple (lavender) is my color of choice at the moment.
  • Putting bobby pins in my now short hair...for some reason I find them cute.
  • Chili from a can, which is pretty much the food from which I've been surviving.
  • Laying under a hot shower.
  • Kittens and puppies even though I don't have any
  • This video made me laugh a lot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXRH50fvHWA
What about everyone else...what is making life more tolerable (or even enjoyable!) this week???

what a great idea! I love your list. The second photo didn't show up - just the awful question mark. I want to see Up in the Air and Mean Girls is one of our favorites. My daughter and I both love Glamour, so Ill buy it now and then, but in my irritatingly motherly way, I insist on tearing out the section about sex. :)
Have a good weekend.

Thanks Lori!

I changed the photo, so hopefully it shows up this time. This Glamour is totally worth your money :)

Hey Annie! I hate that you're feeling so bad... I'm having a rough day today, but I've been going back and forth between that and productive days, which I have to say makes it easier. I can completely relate though, to what you said about the weeks all running together as nothing changes. I'll talk to people from college whom I haven't talked to in months, and basically tell them exactly the same health information. It sucks, frankly. I really hope that you find a doctor soon who can do something for you, treatment-wise.

That being said, I always enjoy your posts. :) I'll have to pick up the new issue of Glamour the next time I'm brave enough to leave my snow-covered house. That magazine tends to be hit or miss for me, so I'm psyched this month is a hit!

Also, I loved Lars and the Real Girl. So funny and quirky! I haven't seen Up in the Air yet, but it's on my list.

Finally (last thing, I promise!), I about died when I watched that Youtube video. Then I called my mom over and made her watch it, and we both died. I love animals. They're just so silly.

Hope you have a good day, Annie! Much love to you!

Hi Annie, thanks for reminding me to be grateful this Friday. Three things that made me happy this week: my super soft pastel purple (my favorite color too!) blanket, a warm Epsom salt bath with lavender essential oil (always helps ease my painful muscles), and gluten-free pancakes that I tried for the first time and are surprisingly yummy and tamp down IBS. Sending positive vibes your way!

Hi Annie, I am new to your blog. I have chronic illness too, but luckily not much pain and I can still get around. I love your list of positive things.
Today mine are
1. I had a pretty good sleep
2. I am going to do some yoga stretches (first time for a few days)
3. I am working on a new blog post!

Hey! Just wanted to say I LOVE Lars. I own the movie in fact (and I have a very small DVD collection). So different and such a great underlying message.

My 2 cents. :)

I think it's a wonderful message too :)

I just wish it was something that could be more common in society today!

Hi Annie,

Stopping by to visit-I'm new to the blog, but have enjoyed what I've read so far. I like your inclination to find smaller things to be positive about when you're not feeling well.

And as an aside, I've been wanting to see Up In the Air so appreciate the rec.
